As this is a fully online course, Prof. Hopkins expects students to be computer proficient and have consistent access to a computer with a high-speed (broadband: cable, DSL or satellite) connection and either Microsoft Word 2007 or Word 2010 installed. Click the link on the left of the page that says “Syllabus” and select the appropriate file. The Syllabus includes textbook, assignment, and assessment information and due dates, as well as the schedule of readings. Students are encouraged to obtain the textbook and start reading the assigned texts before the start of the semester.
You will have access to Blackboard on the first day of the semester, and there are orientation, induction, and introduction activities to be completed in the first week of classes. Start by clicking the 'Start Here' button on the home page and following the step-by-step instructions.
