AML 2010   American Literature to 1865

AML2010: American Literature to 1865 As this is a fully online course, Prof. Hopkins expects students to be computer-proficient and have consistent access to a computer with a high-speed (broadband: cable, DSL or satellite) connection and either Microsoft Word 2007 or Word 2010 installed. More information about getting your computer ready can be found on the Distance Learning site: http://www.lssc.edu/dl/Pages/default.aspx. Information for this course, including the syllabus, is listed on Prof. Hopkins's faculty website one month before the start date for the course. Please go to http://www.lssc.edu/faculty/scott_a_hopkins/SitePages/Home.aspx. Click the link on the left of the page that says “Syllabus” and select the appropriate file. The Syllabus includes textbook, assignment, and assessment information and due dates, as well as the schedule of readings. Students are encouraged to read the assigned texts before the start of the semester. That would be a big head-start. You will have access to Blackboard on the first day of the semester, and there are orientation, induction, and introduction activities to be completed in the first week of classes. On the home page, click on the 'Start Here' button and following the step-by-step instructions. To answer your questions, Prof. Hopkins can be reached by email at HopkinsS@lssc.edu.
