STA 2023
This is a fully online course and therefore will not have scheduled face-to-face meetings. You will be required to take your tests and final exam on campus in a proctored setting. Several appointment times will be available throughout testing week to accommodate your other scheduled activities. More details will be made available during the course orientation. Your instructor, Mrs. Hogans, will be available to meet with you virtually during predetermined times throughout the semester and will have on-campus office hours as indicated on her faculty website. Due to the nature of this course, it is recommended that you possess the following skills: competence in the use of email, familiarity with accessing and downloading content from web sources, comfort with navigating possibly unfamiliar programs (such as Blackboard and MyMathLab*), proficient use of a word processing program and possibly a spreadsheet program, and the ability to scan and send attachments via email. The syllabus for the course will be available 30 days prior to the first day of classes on Mrs. Hogans' website, www.lscc.edu/faculty/karen_m_hogans, as well as her contact information. Email communication is expected through Laker Mail; make sure you can access your account prior to the beginning of the semester. An orientation for the course will be held in Blackboard during the first week of the term. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hogans at hogansk@lssc.edu.
*This course requires the purchase of a My Math Lab access code.
