This section is a hybrid section. This means that more than 30%, but less than 80% of coursework is completed through the Blackboard learning system online. Important Notes from the Instructor:
Most of the assignments and examinations, as well as some of the lectures administered in this hybrid course are conducted in an online environment. Therefore in order to be successful in this course, you should have a basic knowledge of computer operations and terms. This would include understanding the necessary requirements to operate the Blackboard distance learning software on your personal computers. Before attending the first day of class, you should view LSCC’s Distance Learning website home page (http://lscc.edu/dl/Pages/default.aspx). The information provided there will assist you in getting your computer ready for Blackboard. It is your responsibility to ensure your personal computer meets all the necessary requirements. You should also be familiar such basics as navigating web pages, viewing online videos, engaging in course discussions through a virtual classroom environment, and, attaching and downloading files. Your computer should also have speakers and a microphone in order to take full advantage of the virtual classroom experience if necessary/or required (video camera is optional).
