This section is a hybrid section. This means that more than 30%, but less than 80% of coursework is completed through the Blackboard learning system online. The course syllabus will detail time required on campus or in proctored setting. Please see the instructor’s faculty website for a course syllabus and further information.
Important Notes from the Instructor:
Greetings and welcome to the Summer Edition of ENC 1101 with Ms. Pierce. This course is a hybrid meaning that we will meet at least 30% of the allotted class time face-to-face with all other work to take place via Blackboard in an online environment. No later than a month before classes start (so by April 4), you will find the syllabus for your course on my Faculty Website (go to www.lssc.edu, click on Current Students, then Faculty Websites. You will find JACKLYN PIERCE under English or Literature for the link to my site). The syllabus will contain a detailed schedule that includes live meetings, BB dates, and Live Chats to be conducted via the online classroom in Blackboard. For now, you can plan on having seated meetings for the first 2-3 weeks of the course as well as the last 2-3 weeks of the course. During the interim, I’ll be available via BB, e-mail, and phone to assist you in completing ENC 1101 successfully.
