Transfer Students
Students transferring to LSCC from other colleges must submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges as well as high school transcripts prior to registering for classes. An evaluation of course transferability is made after the student has been granted final acceptance and all coursework is received. Every effort will be made to complete official transcript evaluations by the end of the students first semester at LSCC. Transcripts must be submitted in the original sealed envelope. If opened by the student, the transcript will be considered unofficial and will not be accepted.
Transfer credit will be evaluated as follows:
- Upper division credit will not be evaluated or posted to the students LSCC transcript unless it meets the criteria of Florida's Common Course Numbering System.
- College credit from institutions that do not hold regional accreditation will be evaluated and may be accepted based on the determination of comparability to LSCC course content, as specified by Florida state statutes and LSCC policy.
- College credit from institutions that hold regional accreditation will be evaluated and accepted at LSCC.
- The student's all college grade point average and number of credits attempted will be used to determine the student's initial academic classification.
