LINKS “Linking Students with Advising in the Classroom” Links is a program that brings advisors into the classroom(s) of one or more of your English, Reading, and math college preparatory courses. Links provides you with information and a face to connect with Administration and other departments in the college. The program will help you navigate and successfully make the necessary transitions to make your college experience successful. Transitions and Time Management An advisor will supply you with a Lake-Sumter Community College Student Planner. The planner will be your tool to successfully manage your time. Budgeting adequate time for study, sleep, work, exercise, family and friends will help maintain your mental and physical health.
Problem Solving Take control and use your initiative to learn your options when solving academic problems
Registration Be prepared for registration and get the classes you need to meet your goals. An advisor will bring a registration guide to your class (You can also pick one up in Student Development). Career Planning Take career assessments online and find the institutions that offer the programs to meet your career goals at FACTS.org.
