Athletic Alumni Information

Dear LSCC Athletic Alumni:

We are planning to have the first meeting of all former student-athletes that have been an integral part of past Lake-Sumter Community College athletic teams.  This will be the 4th year that the baseball alumni will play their alumni game and the first time we are attempting to offer opportunities for the other teams to be a part of this great day.

The Alumni day is scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2008, beginning at 12 noon.  The baseball alumni will play a seven inning game on the baseball field.  The softball Alumni will gather at the softball field to play a game against the current Laker softball team.  The volleyball alumni will meet in the gym for scrimmage with some of our current Laker players.  We are attempting to make these games an annual event, so that all our former players can gather together, share old stories and enjoy a Bar-B-Que dinner. 

We hope that you will bring your spouse, children and/or a guest.  If we have enough children that will be in attendance; games and activities will be provided to entertain them while Mom/Dad are “playing”. This should be a great day and should provide some fun for everyone involved.  There will be no charge for former players, spouse or their children; we will need to charge a nominal fee of $6.00 for any guests you may bring that will be eating.  There will be opportunities to purchase some LSCC Athletic Shirts and gifts that everyone will want to remember this occasion.

Enclosed is a questionnaire for you to complete so that we can keep you on our mailing list.  Whether you are planning to attend or not; we need for you to complete this form and return it to us at prior to the 12th of January.  If you have information about any former players that we need to contact, please email me, so that I can attempt to contact those individuals.  My email address is:  matuliam@lscc.edu.  I will look forward to hearing from you.
