LSCC Bid/RFQ Information

The District Board of Trustees of Lake Sumter Community College, Leesburg, Florida, is accepting sealed bids for the remodeling of two existing buildings, the Administration Building and the Liberal Arts Building, located on the Leesburg Campus. This project consists of demolition of portions of existing interior partitions, and construction of new staff offices with new finishes and electrical distribution and mechanical ductwork in the Administration Building and minor demolition and remodeling of the womens restroom and new finishes, electrical and mechanical systems throughout for the Liberal Arts Building. The Liberal Arts Building will require exterior stucco with brick texture and infill of existing exterior doors. Construction includes new gypsum wallboard partitions, aluminum storefront, floor and wall finishes, new acoustical tile and gypsum board ceilings, lighting, electrical power, plumbing and mechanical systems.

Orders will be accepted only by FAX (407-895-0681) or email (Orlando@ngiusa.com). One set of plans will also be available for review at the college Facilities Department at the Leesburg Campus. These plans are for review only and cannot be removed from the site.

A mandatory pre bid meeting will be held at the Facilities Department Conference Room, located at 9501 U.S. Highway 441, Leesburg, FL 34788, beginning at 10:00 a.m., November 28, 2005. The structures may be viewed at this time. Additional tours will be restricted to Fridays and can be scheduled by contacting Mikki Byerley at (352) 365-3538.

The sealed bids must be clearly marked BID# LSCC-0001/Administration Building and Liberal Arts Building Remodeling and should be mailed or hand delivered to the Purchasing office at 9501 U.S. Highway 441, Leesburg, FL 34788 no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2005. Bids will be publicly opened at 2:05 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2005 in the Facilities Department Conference Room, 9501 U.S. Highway 441, Leesburg, FL. Any bid received after the specified time and date shall not be considered. Any bid submitted orally, telephonically, telegraphically, email or by fax shall not be accepted.
