Jon Marshall Recognized by Lake-Sumter Community College Board of Trustees

LEESBURG, FL - In recognition of his outstanding service as a member of the Lake-Sumter Community College District Board of Trustees, Jon Marshall was presented an appreciation gift by current Board Chairman Jon Simpson on April 17. After moving to Bushnell in 1992, Mr. Marshall was appointed by the Florida Governor to represent Sumter County on the College's governing Board. Serving as its Vice Chairman for one year, then as its Chairman for two consecutive years, Mr. Marshall tendered his resignation just short of the completion of his second four-year term because of his move to Lake County.

A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Marshall is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Miami Law School. He and his wife Carol have two children.
