Lake-Sumter Community College's Educational Talent Search Offers Summer Program

Leesburg, FL - Lake-Sumter Community College's Educational Talent Search program is sponsoring its 2002 Summer Tour through the month of June. Students from twelve Lake and Sumter County middle and high schools participate in the annual event, created to give students enrolled in LSCC's Educational Talent Search program the opportunity to enjoy different educational and cultural activities. Over 100 seventh through twelfth grade students have enrolled in this year's Summer Tour, and will enjoy self-enrichment classes on LSCC's campuses, field trips to UCF, Kennedy Space Center and Busch Gardens, as well as a fun picnic for participants and their families.

Lake-Sumter Community College's Educational Talent Search program is designed for students recognized for their academic potential, with the objective of encouraging them to complete their secondary education and continue to the post-secondary level. Five hundred and seventy-three Lake and Sumter County middle and high school students participate in LSCC's full-time ETS program which sponsors numerous motivational activities throughout the year.
