LSCC's Foundation Recognizes President Robert Westrick

The LSCC Foundation presented Dr. Robert W. Westrick its retirement gift to him during its Annual Auction Gala held on February 23, 2002. In appreciation for his unwavering support to the Foundation, a $6000 endowment has been established in his name. These dollars will be matched by $4000 in state funds to establish the Dr. Robert W. Westrick Endowment Scholarship. The criteria for the awarding of the $10,000 scholarship will be decided upon by Dr. Westrick, himself, and will be a lasting tribute to his years of service and leadership to LSCC. Dr. Westrick will be retiring the end of June 2002, after serving as LSCC's President for the last nine years.

Lake-Sumter Community College Foundation Director Rosanne Brandeburg presented LSCC President Dr. Robert W. Westrick with an appreciation statue, in addition to announcing the establishment of the Dr. Robert W. Westrick Endowment Scholarship. His wife Merrell was also honored and presented a bouquet of roses for her many contributions.
