Lake-Sumter Community College Recognizes Outstanding Graduates

Leesburg, FL - Graduate Autumn Egan received the President's Award for her leadership, service and scholarship during Lake-Sumter Community College's 39th Annual Commencement Ceremony held on May 10th. Six graduates achieved perfect 4.0 grade point averages (GPA's) during their LSCC career. Kathleen Beaver, Eve Bouchard, Jamie Conklin, ReAnna Farlow, Crystal Hickman and Alina Sezanaeva were each presented an Academic Excellence Award for this impressive accomplishment. Department Awards were given to: Scott Pierce, Chemistry; Rhea Mohammed and Justin Shook, the Elizabeth Kline Rhile Accounting Award; Rothesia Stokes, English; Aaron Jaggers, Mathematics; Jason Barrett, Music (Instrumental); Jennifer Tyler, Music (Vocal); Connie Berry, Nursing - Clinical Excellence (Leesburg); Lyda Jimenez, Nursing - Clinical Excellence (South Lake); Michelle Cobb, Nursing - Peer Support; and Sarah Montaudo Social/Behavioral Sciences. Sarah was also selected as this year's Student Commencement Speaker. Two hundred and seventy-seven students received their diplomas during this year's ceremony, with 23 graduating Summa Cum Laude (GPA 3.8-4.0), 23 Magna Cum Laude (GPA 3.6-3.79), and 47 Cum Laude (GPA 3.4-3.59).
