In the News... Lake-Sumter Community College Continuing Education Schedules Now Available Schedules for Lake-Sumter Community College's non-credit courses are available for fall 2001 and spring 2002. Registration is ongoing for Computer Institute classes that will be offered at various times now through December, and for Continuing Education courses offered now through Spring 2002. Classes will be held at LSCC's Leesburg, South Lake and Sumter Campuses. Course fees vary, so call 365-3556 (Lake County), or 748-1959 (Sumter County) for more information and/or to receive a schedule. Classes range from those that will improve your work skills such as - Supervisory Basic Training, Motivation, Fundamentals of Planning and Time Management; to those that enrich your life such as - Conversational Spanish, Nutrition, People's Medical School, Memory Enhancement, Natural Healing Remedies, Investing, Beginning Computer Skills; to those that introduce a new hobby such as - Photography, Creative Writing, and Art. If you to start a new career, you might want to consider the 120-hour Certified Nursing Assistant program, the 40-hour Security Officer Training, the 50-hour Hypnosis Certification course, or the 40-hour Pre-license Online Insurance course. Courses designed for licensed health professionals include Domestic Violence and Aids Education. Just a reminder that LSCC's Computer Institute and Continuing Education programs also provide custom training for business, industry and government.
