In the News... Lake-Sumter Community College Art Students Display Their Work LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community College will host its 12th Annual Student Art Exhibit through April 25. The portfolio show features the works of graphic art majors: Ariel Blomberg, Todd Collins, Jesse Collop, Michelle Evans, Harold Osbourne, Oriana Russe-Rivera, Stephen Soltau and Daniel Sweeley. The variety of art, illustrations, photography and computer graphics will be displayed in the Everett A. Kelly Convocation Center Gallery, on LSCC's Leesburg Campus. The public is invited to meet some of colleges creative minds during an Artists' Reception, Friday, April 18, from 2 until 4 pm in the Magnolia Room, adjacent to the Gallery. There is no charge. Ariel Blomberg and Todd Collins utilize strong illustrative skills, and Jesse Collop his keen photographers eye for their entries. Daniel Sweeley demonstrates his talents through graphic art and layout design, while Harold Osbourne showcases his interests through his pastel, and pen and ink compositions. Exhibit participants Michelle Evans unique illustrative and painting technique, and Oriana Russe-Riveras graphic illustration and photography work were also featured in LSCCs fine arts and literary publication Odyssey. Rounding out the participants is Stephen Soltau, who brings new meaning to creativity with his illustrative and computer graphic talents. |
