Register Now for Lake-Sumter Community College's Summer Classes

LEESBURG - Less than two weeks are left to register for Lake-Sumter Community College's summer classes. Open registration continues through May 5. Students now have the convenience of using LSCCs new online service by logging on to www.lscc.cc.fl.us. Late registration will be held on May 6 and 7. Late fees do apply. New students, or those who have not taken a class in over a year, will need to apply in person at any campus. Those needing assistance in registering can visit the campus Admissions offices, Mondays through Fridays, from 8 am until 4:30 pm. Students can register at this time for any of LSCCs three summer terms. Summer Term A starts May 6 and continues through June 24, Summer Term A Extended - May 6 through August 14, and Summer Term B - June 26 through August 13.

LSCC has a earned a reputation for producing outstanding graduates. Its Associate in Arts degree program completes the first two years toward a four-year degree, and guarantees acceptance into a state university. LSCC's Associate in Science and Applied Science degrees, certificate programs and Applied Technology diplomas are designed to prepare students for in-demand careers. LSCC has recently introduced a two-year Sports and Fitness degree, designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the sports marketplace and its various components such as sports science, sports medicine and coaching methods. It also provides the foundation for a four-year Sports and Fitness degree through a partnership with UCF. The two-year and four-year degree programs will be offered exclusively on LSCCs South Lake Campus.

Summer Schedules are available on LSCCs website, and at all Lake and Sumter County Winn Dixie stores, Clermont's Kash 'n Karry, city chambers of commerce and libraries, Lake-Square Mall (kiosk near theaters) and all LSCC campuses. For more information and assistance call 568-0001or 352-323-3665.
