Lake-Sumter Community College District Board Recognizes Jon Marshall
Leesburg - Since his appointment to the Lake-Sumter Community College District Board of Trustees in 1994, Jon Marshall generously gave his expertise and time in helping to develop the college into the three-campus institution it is today. Then Florida Governor Lawton Chiles selected Mr. Marshall to represent Sumter County on LSCC's governing Board. During his eight-year tenure, he served as its 1997/1998 Vice Chairman, then assumed the role of Chairman for two terms between 1998 and 2000.
During the February 19th Board Meeting, Chairman Jon Simpson issued a resolution posthumously honoring Mr. Marshall who died on December 5, 2002. The framed document was presented to his widow Carol Marshall, along with Mr. Marshall's two sons John and Mike Neukamm.
