Lake-Sumter Community College Presents Dancing Unto God

Dancing Unto God LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community College continues its African American History Month activities with a presentation by the Dancing Unto God Dance Troupe on Sunday, March 2, at 4 pm. The free event will be held in the Leesburg Campus Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Doors open at 3:30 pm.

The ballet-influenced spiritual praise troupe will perform a program that relates dance to African American historical events. It will also include the history of two locally-noted personalities, Mr. Perman E. Williams and Mr. John Wesley Johnson.

The troupe has delighted audiences throughout Central Florida and has garnered reviews such as, The performance was emotional, therapeutic and phenomenal, all in the same breath. A tremendous tribute in dance. The Troupe is under the direction of prima ballerina Jeanette Gray, a member of the American Dance Association, who has performed in the City of Orlando Mayors Council Martin Luther King Holiday Commission closing ceremonies. She was also the principal dancer in the movie Rosewood. For more information 365-3506 or 748-1536.
