In the News... Lake-Sumter Community College Welcomes New Vice President
With a total of 23 years of university business and finance experience, Mr. Scott comes to LSCC from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he was the Associate/Assistant Vice Chancellor of Business Affairs. Prior to that position, he was Syracuse Universitys Assistant Vice President for Campus Services until 1991. His Florida tenure includes two years as the University of Central Floridas Director of Housing and ten years as its Director of Business Services. He also spent three years with the University of South Florida as an instructor and Director of Housing and Food Service. Mr. Scott has accrued a wealth of knowledge overseeing university budgets, as well as fundraising through grant programs and other entrepreneurial opportunities. He holds a Masters degree in Student Personnel Administration from the Western Illinois University and a BA degree from Quincy University. He was President of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services in 1985 and is currently Board Chairman of the Wilmington Transit Authority. He and his wife Jane have grown children, and will be enjoying the Florida lifestyle once again in their Grand Island home. |
