In the News... Womens Health Issues to Be Discussed at Lake-Sumter Community College LEESBURG - In observation of Womens History Month, Lake-Sumter Community College will host a special luncheon on March 28, from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm, in its Leesburg Campus Magnolia Room. Topical subjects on womens health issues, such as hormone replacement therapy, will be discussed by Lake County physician Dr. Holly Ritch, OB/GYN. The important role your diet plays in the way you feel, act and look will be emphasized by Registered Dietician and Nutritionist Valerie Schulz. This is a great opportunity to learn what you can do to improve your health and well-being, while enjoying the company of women over a delicious lunch. The event is co-sponsored by LSCCs Womens Program and Florida Hospital Waterman, who will present a virtual tour of its new facility, if time permits. Other sponsors include: the American Association of University Women, Eustis Business and Professional Women, and the League of Women Voters. Women of all ages will benefit from this informative program, so call 323-3613 for reservations. Cost of the luncheon is a $15 donation that will go toward LSCC scholarships, so gather a group of your best girlfriends and reserve a table now. |
