Theater and Art Exhibit

Taming of the Shrew Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Theatre Arts Society will present William Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, Thursday through Saturday, April 3, 4 and 5 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 6 at 2 pm, in the Paul P. Williams Fine Arts Center Auditorium, Leesburg. LSCC students Sarah Walker and Joshua Kelly portray Katherine and Petruccio. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door. Lake-Sumter Community College will host its 12th Annual Student Art Exhibit, April 4 through 25. The portfolio show features the works of graphic art majors: Ariel Blomberg, Todd Collins, Jesse Collop, Michelle Evans, Harold Osbourne, Oriana Russe-Rivera, Stephen Soltau and Daniel Sweeley. The variety of art, illustrations, photography and computer graphics will be displayed in the Everett A. Kelly Convocation Center Gallery, on LSCC's Leesburg Campus. The public is invited to an Artists' Reception on April 18th, from 2 until 4 pm in the Magnolia Room, adjacent to the Gallery. There is no charge. For information contact: 365-3526.
