Nursing Grads to be Recognized at Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Pinning Ceremony LEESBURG - A traditional long-stemmed rose and their well-earned nurses pin will be presented to sixty-two Lake-Sumter Community College nursing graduates during the 20th Annual Lake-Sumter Community College Nurses Pinning Ceremony on Saturday, May 10. The 1 pm celebration will be held in the Leesburg Campus Everett A. Kelly Convocation Center. LSCCs School of Nursing has earned the reputation as one of the most respected programs in the state. LSCC graduates consistently place in the highest percentage of students passing the required NCLEX-RN exam on the first attempt. The significance of the invaluable education given to these LSCC students has been acknowledged through an anonymous donation which initiated the construction of the Leesburg Campus' new state-of-the-art Health Sciences Center, and through the generous support of all of the areas hospitals. Nursing students will receive their college diplomas on May 9, during LSCC's Commencement Ceremony. |
