Management Certification Courses Offered at Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Sumter Campus LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community College now offers a joint certificate program through a partnership with the prestigious American Management Association (AMA). Administered through the colleges Corporate and Community Services office, the program is bringing top-quality business training to Lake and Sumter counties. In fact, a 2003 BusinessWeek survey identified AMA as one of the Top 20 Best Executive Education Programs in the nation. Students who complete five or six 15-hour courses within two years in any of the twelve areas of specialization are awarded a Management Certificate jointly signed by AMA and LSCC. LSCC/AMA courses to be offered on the Sumter Campus in May include: Fair, Square and Legal Fundamentals of Marketing LSCCs Continuing Education office will offer Power of Personal Accountability on Monday, May 3, from 5:30 until 8:30 pm. Learn to tackle your business accountability problems by looking at some real-world situations and how to deal with them Cost of the one-night course is $49. Another course for your employees is a topic from the Grand Canyon Adventure for Creative Problem Solving. This course helps train teams, managers and executives in consensus decision making, team consultation, collaboration, and creative problem solving through simulation exercises. It will be held on Thursday, May 6, from 9 am until 12 noon. Cost is $49 per person. An introductory course to help learn the skills to create your own web page using HTML will be offered by the colleges Computer Institute. The Web Page Creation class will be held on Mondays, May 17 & 24, from 6 until 9 pm. Cost is $36. |
