In the News... Lake-Sumter Community College Summer Registration Continues LEESBURG - Been thinking of starting that degree, or taking some courses to enhance an existing career? You can get a great education without leaving your own community at Lake-Sumter Community College. Tuition is a fraction of those of state universities and private schools, classes are smaller and more personal, and schedules are designed for full-time and part-time students. LSCC also has an open enrollment policy, which means that any student with a high school diploma or GED has the opportunity to apply for admission. LSCC offers three summer semesters, which vary in length. They provide the perfect opportunity for college students to pick up some extra credits, or for May high school grads to get an early start on their college career. Students who have gone through the admission process may register online at www.lscc.edu, for any or all of the three semesters. Registration for summer terms A and A Extended (AE) continues through May 3. Classes start on May 6 for both of these semesters. Students may continue to register for Summer Term B through June 23, for classes that start June 28. Summer Term A continues through June 24, Summer Term A Extended and B continue through August 12. To apply for admission or to have help registering, visit any of LSCCs three campuses, Mondays through Fridays, from 8 am until 4:30 pm. Summer Schedules are available on LSCCs website, and at all Lake and Sumter County Winn Dixie stores, city chambers of commerce and libraries, Lake-Square Mall Food Court kiosk and all LSCC campuses.
