Lake-Sumter Community College Foundation Constructs Home for Gala Auction

LEESBURG - Since mid-October, what had been an idea for a scholarship fundraiser between the Lake-Sumter Community College Foundations Executive Director Rosanne Brandeburg and Rick Rojas of RJ Builders is now nearing completion. A beautiful new 2617 sq. ft., three-bedroom, two-bath home in Silver Lake Hills has become a reality through the generous contributions of area businesses and individuals. Materials and labor for the home, valued at $164,000, were either completely donated, given at cost, or greatly discounted. Located on the corner of Tarlton Road and Morningside Drive, this first-place recipient of the 2003 Lake County Parade of Homes will be put on the auction block during the LSCC Foundations 19th Annual Gala Auction.

The March 6th events theme is Out of Africa, name is name in honor of another fabulous auction item...a trip to Africa. This Gala Auction is the major fundraiser of the LSCC Foundation, benefiting LSCC students. So, the event is not only a great opportunity to bid on a variety of wonderful items, but also to help Lake and Sumter County students receive a quality education.
