Lake-Sumter Community College to Offer Innovative Teambuilding Series for Employers

LEESBURG - Employee attitude is increasingly cited as the number one performance-related issue of companies, both large and small. Coping with the continuous changes of the downsized, team-oriented, and increasingly diverse workplace has left many people confused, fearful, and sometimes angry. As attitudes deteriorate, so do commitment, loyalty and performance. To address this issue, Lake-Sumter Community College will offer the nationally acclaimed Adventures in Attitude program at both its Leesburg and the South Lake campuses.

Adventures in Attitudes is an empowerment strategy for today's workplace.

It is designed to help employees understand that how they perceive and respond to events around them is their choice and the key to establishing personal responsibility and accountability in the midst of change. These concepts are critical in turning passive resistance into high-energy performance. This program will primarily cover team building strategies, but will also touch on other attitude building strategies as well.

The Leesburg Campus program will meet five consecutive Mondays, starting February 23 and continuing through March 29, from 5:30 until 7:30 pm. LSCCs South Lake Campus, located in Clermont, will offer the series on Wednesdays, from February 25 through March 31, from 5:30 until 7:30 pm. Cost for the entire program is $99 for either location. For information and registration call 365-3556.
