Lake-Sumter Community Colleges TV 13 Presents Omni Lake-Sumter Series
LEESBURG - Issues of interest to area citizens are featured each month on Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Omni Lake-Sumter series. Produced and hosted by Nancy Bell, the interview series is taped twice a month in LSCCs Leesburg Campus television studio. The program airs on Comcasts channel 13 on the following dates. It will also be televised on Bright Houses channel 7, with dates being announced later.
January/February topics are:
Jerusalem Jones and the Dead Sea Scrolls...January 14, 15, 28 & 29, at 5 pm. Dr. Ken Hanson, professor of Judaic studies at University of Central Florida, has written a one-man play Jerusalem Jones and the Dead Sea Scrolls that will be presented at The Villages Savannah Center on February 1, at 7 pm. During Omni Lake-Sumter you will learn more about the author who has lectured and published three books about the dead sea scrolls. Also a philosophy and religion instructor at Rollins College, Dr. Hanson will appear at a book signing on Saturday, (January 10), from 11 am until 2 pm, at the Bookworm in the Villages.
Patriot Act...January 21 & 22 and February 4 & 5, at 5 pm Attorney Bill Stone, Assistant Public Defender for Lake County, will discuss the USA Patriot Act and how its implementation may affect one's life.
