Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Computer Institute Offers Courses for Beginners through Professionals LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community College will be offering a 15-hour Access course on Thursdays, starting July 1 and continuing through July 29, from 6 until 9 pm. The Leesburg Campus training classes will cover all of the skill standards required to sit for the Access Core: MOS Certification Exam at the end of the course. The cost of the course and exam is $187. The LSCC Computer Institute Microsoft Office Series continues with Word, Level 3, on July 22 and 29, from 6 until 9 pm. This course covers advanced features such as merging mailing labels and directories, and sorting data. Creating tables and other basic and intermediate skills for the workplace and home will be covered during Access, Level 1, on July 6 and 13 and Access, Level 2, on July 20 and 27. The advanced Excel, Level 3, class will introduce using a worksheet as a database for importing and exporting information on July 8 and 15. Each course in this Series will meet on the Leesburg Campus, from 6 until 9 pm, at a cost of $75 each. Learn to create amazing web sites during LSCCs new Macromedia Design, Level 1, course. Classes start on July 7 and continue on consecutive Wednesdays through August 4, from 6 until 9 pm. Cost is $147. Another new offering is Quark, Level 1. This course is designed for professional and prospective layout designers and technicians, who have little or no experience using QuarkXPress, but need to create high-quality publications and documents.
