Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Popular Summer Camps Continue

LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community College LSCCs Continuing Education office will once again be hosting its Young Writers' Camp, Mondays through Thursdays, starting July 5 and continuing through July 15 on the Leesburg Campus. With the goal of enhancing the skills of budding young 4th through 7th grade authors and poets, the Camp meets during eight half-day sessions, from 1:30 until 5 pm. Student-to-teacher ratio is low, which allows for great interaction between the students and the experienced instructors, so register early by calling 365-3556.

The Central Florida Youth Orchestras annual Sounds of Summer Music Camp will be held from July 5 through July 16, for students between the ages of 5 to 22. Beginning students of the violin, viola, cello and bass, as well as more advanced musicians currently playing strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion can enroll in either one-week or two-week sessions. Classes will run Mondays through Fridays on LSCCs Leesburg Campus. For more information on this musical camp call 787-4838.
