Apply Now for Lake-Sumter Community College Summer Classes LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community Colleges three summer terms offer 2004 high school graduates a great opportunity to get a jump on their college career or for college students to earn some extra credit hours. The three terms vary in length...Semester A, runs May 6 through June 24; Semester A Extended, May 6 through August 12; and Semester B, June 28 through August 12. There are even some one and two credit-hour mini-semesters. Students can register online for any of the three terms starting April 19. Classes fill up early, so it is very important that new students visit any of the three LSCC campuses to start the application process as soon as possible. In addition to applying, completing orientation and meeting with an academic advisor, many new students will need to take placement tests. This process must be completed at least 48 prior to registering. Current students with 45+ credit hours can register starting April 5, while those with 44 or fewer credit hours can enroll stating April 12. The Summer Schedule and Catalog, as well as registration instructions are available online at: www.lscc.edu. Though registration can be completed online, staff-assisted registration is also available at the Admissions offices of the Leesburg, South Lake and Sumter campuses, Mondays through Fridays, from 8 am until 4:30 pm. Summer Schedules are also available at Winn Dixie stores, city libraries and chambers of commerce, and the Lake Square Mall Food Court kiosk.
