Lake-Sumter Community College To Offer Mandatory Courses for Real Estate Professionals

LEESBURG - Active or inactive real estate salespersons and brokers are required to complete a 14-hour continuing education course every two years. Lake-Sumter Community College will offer this two-day class on it Leesburg Campus, Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26, from 8 am until 4 pm. Mandated by the Florida Real Estate Commission, this refresher course covers real estate license law, as well as state and federal laws affecting the industry. Cost of this class is $89, which includes the course book.

Those wishing to enter the real estate profession will want to enroll in Lake-Sumter Community Colleges pre-licensing course starting March 1, on its South Lake Campus in Clermont. Classes will meet on consecutive Tuesdays and Thursdays through March 31, from 8 am until 4 pm. Designed to meet requirements of the Florida Real Estate Commission for Principles and Practices of Real Estate I, the course will include basic real estate information, as well as areas of real estate law that are included on the Florida Real Estate Salesman's Examination. Cost of the course is $339.
