Poetry and Art on the Agenda this Month at Lake-Sumter Community College's South Lake Campus

LEESBURG-The pen and the brush will be tools used by beginner and experience writers and artists alike during Lake-Sumter Community College creative classes. To register for the South Lake Campus courses, call LSCC's Corporate and Community Services at 365-3556.

Poetry...Tuesdays, Jan. 25-March 8, 4-5:30 pm

The class will select to read their poet of choice and the works will be briefly studied. Techniques and language used by the poet, as well as meter and rhythm, will be discussed. Students will write poems which will be discussed and reviewed in class.

Decorative Painting - One Stroke...Thursdays, Jan. 27-Feb. 24, 6-8:30 pm

Learn how to shade, highlight and blend with one simple stroke. One-Stroke is for the artistically challenged and for the experienced painter who wants to learn another technique.
