Lake-Sumter Community College Course to Look at the Effect of International Terrorism

LEESBURG - Osama Bin Laden, al-Qaida, Zarqawi...names you read about daily with regard to terrorism. Who are they? What are they after? What is terrorism, and is it something new? These and other questions will be discussed during Lake-Sumter Community College's International Terrorism course. Class starts November 10 and continues for four consecutive Wednesdays through December 15, from 4:30 until 6:15 pm, on the Leesburg Campus. Frederick Wettering, a 36-year veteran and former senior officer of the CIA., will explain what is and is not modern terrorism, the difference between terrorism and insurgency, and the implications for the U.S. Cost of the course is $59.
