In the News... Now is the Time to Apply for Lake-Sumter Community Colleges January Spring Classes LEESBURG - The end of year is approaching, which means that Lake-Sumter Community Colleges spring classes will start in less than two months. A great New Years resolution would be to start work on a degree or take courses to enhance your workplace skills. Whether you are a recent high school grad, or an older student wanting to make a career change or return to school after raising a family, now is the time to start your advanced education. Full or part-time students have the convenience of three campus locations, flexible hours and a low student-to-teacher ratio for a more personalized experience. Community college tuition is much less than that of universities and private colleges, plus any high school graduate or GED recipient has the opportunity to apply for admission. It is important to do so now, however, since earlier online registration and an increase in freshman enrollment make it more important than ever to apply and register early. Log on to: www.lscc.edu, go to Enrollment Steps, then to Application to print out the required form. The Spring Class Schedule is also available online. Open registration for new students, or those who have not taken an LSCC class in over a year, starts November 29. As a new student, you do need to apply in person, but registration and fee payment can be done online. For more information call 323-3665. |
