Lake-Sumter Community College To Be Host Site of Vocal Workshops

LEESBURG - Barbershop harmony will be in the air on Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Leesburg Campus, when over 85 Lake County middle school and high school students visit the college to improve their singing techniques. The Heart of Florida Chorus, part of the Central Florida Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, along with LSCC and Lake County Schools, will sponsor a one-day workshop on Monday, October 11, for six area schools. Boys and girls will attend sectional workshops initially, then rehearse songs as a group to be performed at the close of the day. This half-hour program starts at 2:30 pm in LSCCs Paul P. Williams Fine Arts Center Auditorium, and the public is welcome to attend.
