Certified Nursing Assistant Course Offered at Lake-Sumter Community Colleges South Lake Campus

LEESBURG - Students who wish to sit for the states Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam and practicum will want to enroll in LSCCs CNA series starting November 1. The 120-hour course will meet Mondays through Fridays, from 5:30 am until 9:30 pm, through December 13. Classes will be held on LSCCs South Lake Campus in Clermont and will cover subjects such as: anatomy and physiology, age-related body changes and common abnormalities, step-by-step procedures for care giving, and other employability skills. Students successfully completing this course will be eligible to take the Florida certification exam. Cost of the course, manual and insurance is $429. Students must submit results of a tuberculosis (PPD) test at the first class. To register call: 352-365-3556
