In the News... Lake-Sumter Community College Presented an Awards in Excellence
Questions asked each nominee included: what sets your business apart from others that provide the same services; what type of growth in regard to personnel or additional services have you experienced this past year; what is your business doing to increase dollars into the Sumter County economy (i.e. website, catalog, brochures, in-county purchases, advertising); what is your business/industry doing to be a good community partner (i.e. recycling, fundraising, charitable contributions, activities, board services); and have you implemented any policies, procedures or programs based on employee suggestions this past year? |
LEESBURG - Six Sumter County employers were presented Business and Industry Awards in Excellence statues during a September 24th ceremony hosted by the Sumter County Economic Development Council (SCEDC) and the Sumter County Chamber of Commerce (SCCC). Initially nominated by fellow SCEDC and SCCC members, representatives filled out a questionnaire regarding their business/employment practices. The nominees were then narrowed down to the six winners based on number of employees. Lake-Sumter Community College earned its Award in the 125+ employees category.
