Register Now for Lake-Sumter Community College Summer Classes
LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community College offers four summer semesters that range
in lengths of 14, 9 and 7 weeks. The terms offer college students the perfect
opportunity to complete a required course or to pick up some extra credits. The
9-week mini-mester was developed so that May high school graduates could get a
jump start on their college career.
Summer A Extended runs May 8 through August 16; Summer A, May 8 through June 22;
Summer B, June 28 through August 16; and the Summer Mini-mester from May 30
through July 27. Class schedules are available online; and students who have
already applied can register for any of the four summer terms at www.lscc.edu.
If students need assistance in registering, please visit any of LSCCs three
campuses, weekdays from 8 until 4:30 p.m.
Classes fill up early, so it is very important that new students start the
enrollment process as soon as possible. In addition to applying, meeting with an
academic advisor and attending an orientation, many new students will need to
take placement tests. The Leesburg Campus will hold orientation sessions on
April 21, from 9 until 11 a.m., and May 2, from 6 until 8 p.m. The Sumter Campus
will hold a session on April 24, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Reservations are
