FINAL PIRATES OF PENZANCE PERFORMANCE DEDICATED TO FORMER STUDENT VICKI
ODOR
This Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, will be the final performances of
Lake-Sumter Community College's presentation of the Gilbert & Sullivan comic
operetta The Pirates of Penzance. The shows start at 7:30 p.m., in the Leesburg
Campus' Paul P. Williams Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Tickets are available at
the door, which opens a half hour prior to show time. Adults are $6; seniors are
$5; children 12 and under are $3. LSCC students and their families are free.
Produced by the Theatre Arts Society, it is most appropriate that this student
group dedicates its final performance on Saturday night to a fellow thespian.
Proceeds from that evening will benefit the Vicki Odor Memorial Scholarship
Fund. Vicki was a theater and music student at LSCC, when she was killed by a
drunk driver as she left work at Lake Square Mall in February of 1998.
