Governor Bush Reappoints Lake-Sumter Community College Trustees

LEESBURG - (March 10, 2006) - Doug Childers, Joe Norman and Will Pruitt have been reappointed to the Lake-Sumter Community College District Board of Trustees by Governor Jeb Bush. The nine-person Board, with representatives from Lake and Sumter counties, serve staggered four-year terms.

Leesburg resident Joe Norman, retired, was originally appointed by Governor Bush in 1999 and will be starting his second full term this June 1. During his tenure, Norman has served as the Boards Vice Chairman and Chairman. Also starting his second full term is Will Pruitt of Lady Lake. Pruitt, an LSCC alumnus and CEO of Pruitt & Associates, was also originally appointed in 1999 and starts his second full term this June. Richard Childers, of Wildwood, is senior vice president at Brown and Brown Insurance, Inc. Appointed in August 2004 to complete the term of departing member Jeff Miller, Childers will start his first full term this June.
