New Students Can Now Register Online for Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Spring Classes

LEESBURG - Lake-Sumter Community Colleges spring classes start January 5 and now is the time to register online at www.lscc.edu. It is important to register early to get the best class selection; remembering that new students need to apply for admission in-person at any LSCC campus at least 48 hour prior to registering. Visit LSCCs website to view the Spring Class Schedule and the enrollment procedures. For additional information call 787-3747.

LSCC offers two-year Associate degrees and certificates that provide outstanding career training in a variety of professions. Those who plan to earn a Bachelors degree at a state university can complete the first two years at LSCC with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree. This degree also guarantees acceptance into the Florida university system. This is particularly important now that universities are limiting their enrollments. And, did you know that LSCCs A.A. graduates consistently have the highest grade point averages among all state university students earning their four-year degrees? Some A.A. degrees go even further in providing the foundation for specific Bachelors degrees in Early Childhood Education, Pre-Engineering and Athletic Training. The curriculums of these degrees, as well as those of some Associate in Science degrees, were developed to transfer directly into comparable university programs. Make an appointment with an advisor to learn more about these transitional academic programs; some of which may be completed without leaving Lake County.
