Computer Information Administrator Degree Offered this
Spring at Lake-Sumter Community College
LEESBURG - Students can not only study the technical aspects of a computer
career, but also earn a degree that emphasizes the importance of a liberal arts
education. This combination creates a well-rounded graduate that fits the needs
of area employers and provides degree holders with limitless opportunities
within a company or to continue their education. Spring classes start January 5,
but now is the time for new students to start the application process in order
to have the best schedule when online registration starts November 21.
Like all of LSCCs Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degree
programs, the Computer Information Administrator curriculum was a collaboration
of not only educators, but also area industry professionals which volunteer
their time as members of college advisory committees. Program creators completed
an extensive two-year study into the skill preferences of IT employers, drawing
from nationwide data and regional information collected from surveys and
workshops.
Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Computer Information Administrator degree is
just one of several new two-year degrees offered this spring. Others include:
Early Childhood Education, Electrical Distribution Technology (lineman) and the
new Educators Preparation Institute, which supplements a bachelors degree to
qualify candidates to teach in a K-12 classroom.
Spring Schedules are available online or at any LSCC campus, Winn Dixie store,
city library or area chamber of commerce. Call 787-3747 for more information.
