Lake-Sumter Community College and UCF Host South Lake
Campus Open House
LEESBURG - Community members will have an opportunity to tour the Lake Sumter
Community College South Lake Campus Thursday, October 27, when it and University
of Central Florida hosts an Open House from 4 until 7 p.m. The event will also
provide the opportunity students and their parents to learn more about LSCC and
the UCFs academic programs from the staffs and faculties of both schools.
Since the South Lake Campus was first dedicated in December of 1999, the LSCC
and UCF 2+2 partnership has strengthened and expanded. Students can complete
their freshman and sophomore years at LSCC, then seamlessly transfer to such UCF
bachelors degree programs as Early Childhood Education, Sports and Fitness, and
Nursing...all without leaving Lake County.
Spring term starts January 5, and though it is a few months away, it is
important for new students to start the application process now. In addition to
applying in person at any of LSCCs three campus, new students also must speak
with an advisor, take placement tests and attend an orientation session...all
before registering online. By doing so early, new students will be ready when
open registration starts on November 21 and have the best choice of classes,
days and times.
The Spring Class Schedule can be viewed online at
www.lscc.edu. The application process and other important information is
also available. If you need additional information visit any of the LSCC
campuses in Clermont, Leesburg and Sumterville or call 787-3747. |
