Lake-Sumter Community College Athletic Department Moves
Scholarship Dinner to November 3
LEESBURG
- Due to Hurricane Wilma, Lake-Sumter Community Colleges athletic department
has moved its Sports Leadership Dinner to Thursday, November 3. Part of the
department's Sports Leadership Series, the November event will welcome two-sport
legend Gene Conley. The dinner program will be held in the Leesburg Campus
Magnolia Room, starting at 6 p.m. Conley was a pitcher for the Milwaukee Braves,
when they won the 1957 World Series; then in 1959, 1960 and 1961; and a member
of the National Basketball Association champion Boston Celtics. Tickets for the
program and dinner are $25 per person. Companies can reserve tables a table of
eight for their guests and employees for only $300, as well as receive
recognition as program sponsor. Individual sponsors can also reserve tables for
$160. The program benefits LSCCs Athletic Scholarship Fund. Seating is limited,
