Lake and Sumter Counties Business Assistance Center Welcomes New Manager

LEESBURG - Gary Holstein has been selected as the manager of the Business Assistance Center (BAC), located on Lake-Sumter Community Colleges Leesburg Campus.

A knowledgeable business consultant, Holstein brings a wealth of experience to the position. He has designed, implemented and facilitated training programs for such diverse functional groups as information technology, sales, marketing and senior level management. Equally adept with groups or individuals, from large corporations to small organizations, he has been a senior trainer throughout the United States, Europe and the Pacific Basin. Adding to his expertise in areas such as: customer service, strategic planning, organizational design, relationship building and team development is the fact that he has himself managed and owned small businesses.

The Business Assistance Center, created through a partnership between Lake-Sumter Community College, the Lake County Board of Commissioners, the Sumter County Industrial Development Authority and the Sumter County Board of Commissioners, provides services and resources to help new and existing businesses throughout Lake and Sumter counties.

A nine-year Mount Dora resident, Holstein says he is looking forward to managing an organization that helps people meet or exceed their goals. He invites the business community to contact him at 352-365-3579 or holsteig@lscc.edu.
