Minimum Hardware and Software Requirements-- The following is a list of the basic minimum requirements for Online Courses. Some courses will have more advanced requirements. Information on advanced requirements may be found in each course syllabus.
All Users:
- A high-speed (broadband connection) internet connection.
- A display resolution of 1024x768 or better is strongly recommended.
- Use an approved version of Java.
- PC should be configured properly.
- Uninstall Java if more than one version is on hard-drive.
PC Users:
- A minimum computer system that will help you access all the tools in the courses is a Core 2 Duo or better CPU.
- 2 GB of RAM or better
- Windows XP SP 3 or Vista (Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit has not been tested with the latest version of Blackboard CE. LSCC uses 8.0 SP3 HF 1)
- Supported Browser: Internet Explorer 8 (IE 7 is comptaible but not certified), Mozilla Firefox 2.5 -3.0 (Firefox 3.5 is compatible but not certified)

Macintosh Users:
- A minimum computer system that will help you access all the tools in the courses is a G4 or better platform, using OS X 10.5. (OS X 10.6 is not certified)
- 1 GB of RAM or better
- Supported Browsers: Safari 3.0 - 3.2. (Safari 4 is compatible but not certified)

Other:
- JavaScript must be enabled.
- Cookies must be enabled.
