Minimum Hardware and Software Requirements-- The following is a list of the basic minimum requirements for Online Courses. Some courses will have more advanced requirements. Information on advanced requirements may be found in each course syllabus.

All Users:

• A high-speed (broadband connection) internet connection.
• A display resolution of at least 600x800 is required and 1024x768 or betteris strongly recommended.
• Use an approved version of Java.
• PC should be configured properly.
• Uninstall Java if more than one version is on hard-drive.

PC Users:

• A minimum computer system that will help you access all the tools in the courses is a Core 2 Duo or better CPU.
• 2 GB of RAM or better
• Windows XP SP 3 or better
• Supported Browser: Internet Explorer 7, Netscape 7.2, Mozilla Firefox 1.5 -2.0

Macintosh Users:

• A minimum computer system that will help you access all the tools in the courses is a G4 or better platform, using OS X.
• 1 GB of RAM or better
• Supported Browsers: Firefox 1.0.x OS X only, Safari 1.2, 1.3, 2.x; and 2.x for Intel x86

Other:

• JavaScript must be enabled.
• Cookies must be enabled.
• Java must be enabled in courses, which use the Whiteboard and/or Chat tools.
