Joan Johnson

Welcome to my home page!  My name is Joan Johnson and I am an adjunct faculty member at Lake-Sumter Community College.  I am an alumnus of LSSC; I have been teaching at LSSC since 1999. I teach a variety of computer courses. Students taking the Business Computer Apps, will be introduced to Microsoft Office components Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

As with many other courses, homework is just one component of the class. It is important to keep up with the lessons, classwork and homework in order to earn a high passing grade. The syllabus, and course calendar for each class I am currently teaching can be located on this site as well as some of the handouts.

I hope you enjoy the class as much as I enjoy teaching.

Communication with instructor can be accomplished in several ways:
LSCC email: Student may communicate with the instructor through Johnsonj@lssc.edu utilizing their Laker Mail account. Do not use any other service provider email address to communicate with the instructor. Students communicating via the LSSC email should put the day of class meeting in the subject line         (i.e.: Mon. aft).
 
Student can call the instructor at home (352-793-8386) and leave a message if she is not there. The message MUST include your name, and a contact phone number. And since I teach at night, PLEASE mention how late at night you accept return calls. If you do not get a reply, feel free to call again.All students are required to use LakerMail for official college email communications.
