Welcome to my home page!  My name is Joan Johnson and I am an adjunct faculty member at Lake-Sumter Community College.  Information on the courses I teach along with my contact information and office hours are included below.  I teach the Introduction to Microcomputer Applications Course, the Business Cpmputer Appplications, Keyboarding, Intro to Windows, and several other courses. Students taking the Microcomputer Apps or the Business Computer apps class will be introduced to Microsoft Office components Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
As with many other courses, homework is just one component of the class. It is important to keep up with the lessons, classwork and homework in order to earn a high passing grade.

Communication with instructor can be accomplished in several ways:
LSCC email: Student may communicate with the instructor through Johnsonj@lscc.edu utilizing their Laker Mail account. Do not use any other service provider email address to communicate with the instructor. Students communicating via the LSCC email should put the location and day of meeting in the subject line         (i.e.: Sumter, Mon.).
Student can call the instructor at home (352-793-8386) and leave a message if she is not there. The message MUST include your name, and a contact phone number. If you do not get a reply, feel free to call again.
All students are required to use LakerMail for official college email communications.
