Attendance/Withdrawals

As members of a learning community, students are expected to be present, to actively participate and to arrive and depart on time.  Points will be deducted for late arrivals, early departures and absences. Students are responsible for any material covered during their absence.  Late assignments are not accepted and there are no make-ups for quizzes or exams once they have been administered in class.

Because this is a hybrid class that only meets five times during the 15-week semester, it is mandatory that students attend all class meetings. If a student misses two class meetings, they will receive an “F” in the course. Late arrivals and/or early departures will be noted and the time recorded. If the total time missed throughout the semester is sufficient to equal two class meetings, the student will receive an “F” for the course.

If you wish to withdraw from this course, it is your responsibility to go to the Admissions Office and withdraw officially from the course.  Failure to follow this procedure will result in a grade of “F” for the course.  The instructor will not complete procedures for you.  The deadline to withdraw from the course is November 1, 2010.
