2001 Students will need to view several movies outside of class for
discussion posts, as well as to choose two movies off of an essay
selection list.
You will need to view the following films on your own:
Double Indemnity (1944) Dir. Billy Wilder
The Manchurian Candidate (1962) Dir. John Frankenheimer
The Graduate (1967) Dir. Mike Nichols
Thelma and Louise (1991) Dir. Ridley Scott OR Eve's Bayou (1997) Dir. Kasi Lemmons
*Extra Credit offered if you watch both films.

The rest of the films on the course calendar will be viewed in class.
You will write one essay in FIL 2001 taken from the following list of films:

choice. You are not required to buy any movies, only to view them.
